Aspen Vista TX Neck Brace w/ Thoracic Extension Adjustable Cervical Collar w/ extra pads Each The Aspen Vista TX Collar is a fully adjustable neck brace that takes the Vista Collar to the next level with its additional thoracic extension. This adds support and stabilization for the thoracic vertebrae after a traumatic neck injury. Additionally, it has Aspen Medical's height adjustable technology to select one of six settings to obtain the fit needed with a turn of the dial. Neck braces also referred to as cervical collars, restrict the patient's neck following a head and neck injury. It realigns the spinal cord to support healing and reduce pain. The Vista TX Cervical Collar is applied to get a snug fit. The cotton-lined foam pads add comfortable softness and wick away moisture. Consideration was also placed at the neck giving an access window between the chin and the chest support. This gives medical professionals access to the front of the neck for airway management and other medical procedures that may be needed.The Vista TX Thoracic Extension Neck Brace is available as a single unit. It offers convenience and easy inventory management with one sku to track. Having a universal size also takes up little storage space. Purchase the collar by itself or with extra replacement foam pads. Vista TX Application InstructionsAdd a slight curve to the flexible side panels. Align the patient's head and slide back panel of brace behind the neck so that the loop straps are between the patient's ear and the trapezius. Start with the lowest setting and work your way up pulling the sides of the front panel in pursuit of positioning the tracheal aperture at the sternal notch. At this point, the chin does not need to be in chin support. Hold the collar against the chest to pull out the dial and turn clockwise to position chin support piece. Release the dial when the chin is supported and it will automatically self-lock.Tightening is the final step. Attach the hook and loop strap on each side while holding the front panel. Peel loop strap, one side at a time while anchoring fingers in the collar. Repeat on both sides to achieve an even fit. Check with the patient if the chin piece is touching the throat and adjust if needed by lifting side panels off of the trapezius muscles.
